Hi, Everyone.
We will be handing out the team State Meet t-shirts at the meet. There was a huge mistake made with our order; otherwise, we would have handed them out yesterday.
I'm including a suggested packing list because we don't want them leaving the team area during the meet. Each session is fairly short and so we need to keep evevryone together the entire time. Please have your swimmers bring: team suit, team cap, two goggles (if possible), one towel, shorts, an extra t-shirt, top and bottom sweats (or pajama pants and a light long-sleave shirt), deck shoes. Being warm and comfortable will help a lot. As far as snacks go: energy drink, juice or water, fruit, and energy bar or granola bar. They don't need a lot of food. Just make sure they have a healthy meal (early for 8-and-unders) a couple of hours before their session.
Lastly, remind them that they've worked trained all year and don't need to worry. The hard work is over and now they just get to have fun swimming. And, of course, it doesn't matter how fast they swim, just that they try their hardest for themselves and the team.
It's been a wonderful year and I know we're all looking forward to this championship meet. Tyler, Marie, Fritz and I have immensely enjoyed working with your kids.
